Unit History

In 2008 two brothers set out and made a team with a group of friends.  This team was called Coventry Counter Strike and was made up of 7 members including the two brothers.  This team was mostly for local and back yard play.

After a few months the team began to get bored and set out to play in its first large scale milsim.  A weekend and an ass kicking later the team returned home.  That night Chris & Tyler decided they wanted more from an airsoft team.  A week later they shut down Coventry Counter Strike August 2009.

Over the next year the two brothers reorganized and restructured a new team.  They decided the only way to make an elite airsoft unit was to increase the difficulty of the selection process. So they did exactly that.  This process is currently known as Recon School.  After creating Recon School they put each other through it and set the standards for what is now used.

The two brothers then began practicing and building much of the training foundation the team still uses.  They continued to train and compete until a year later in June 2011 when their younger brother decided he wanted to be on team.  He went through Recon School with a 94% on all tasks and tests.

SSF held another Recon School in June 2012. This lead to them acquiring their fourth member Matt.  He later quit the team in June 2013 due to work scheduling and other commitments.

Our Last member passed the following Recon School held in July 2012.  Eric passed with an average score of 90%. We took Eric on the team and he has shown that he has more than enough skill on the field.

Our current team to date is made up of 4 of 5 people who passed Recon School over the last 3 years.
